The Arab PlanningInstitute (API) participated in the regional workshop organized by the UnitedNations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN - ESCWA) on“Developing strategies for optimal use of debt to enhance fiscal space andprovide financing for sustainable development goals in Arab countries” duringthe period 19 - 20 December 2023 in Muscat City - Sultanate of Oman. TheInstitute was represented in this workshop by Dr. Moez Labidi - a consultant atthe Institute - He chaired the third session, entitled “Debt Data ManagementPractices and Debt Data Quality in the Arab Region.” He also discussed aworking paper in the fourth session, which was presented by the GlobalSovereign Advisory Center, entitled “Understanding Debt SustainabilityAnalysis: Recent Proposals of Reform of DSA Frameworks”.
